Old Castle Road Pipeline Phase 2 Project
Construction Schedule: Summer 2026 through Spring 2028
Project Overview: The Valley Center Municipal Water District is replacing approximately 11,000 linear feet of existing 12-inch diameter cement-mortar lined and coated steel potable waterline with a new 12-inch diameter polyvinyl chloride (PVC) potable waterline. This work also includes replacing and upgrading all related valves and appurtenances. All construction will take place along Old Castle Road, between Old Highway 395 and Pamoosa Lane. This project will play an important role in upgrading the service lines and ensuring the continuation of reliable water in your service area.
During Construction, the Community May Experience the Following:
- Construction hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. (subject to change)
- Construction equipment and associated noise
- Temporary water service interruptions during work hours, with advance notification
- Minor delays due to lane restrictions and closures, with traffic control measures in place
- Subsurface excavations and road resurfacing
- Some dust, dirt, or minor debris in the construction area
